Innovative Community Participation

Assist Access/Maintain Employee, NDIS Australia

Individuals and groups receiving workplace assistance can leverage professional networks to connect with potential employers. The Assist Access/Maintain Employment program supports employees in retaining their jobs after securing them.

Participants who were employed prior to enrolling in the NDIS are also eligible for assistance. Some forms of support, such as the National Standards for Disability Services certification obtained through the Human Services Scheme, are subject to Commonwealth Quality and Safeguards, depending on the jurisdiction.

Through the NDIS, individuals can access employment support services to develop essential skills needed to succeed in today’s workforce. These include resume writing, interview preparation, and goal-setting for both employment and career development.

In addition, participants receive encouragement and assistance in setting and achieving their career goals. Employers are encouraged to provide support through on-site training and other programs aimed at helping employees reach their full potential.

At Access/Maintain Employ, we provide a range of services aimed at helping individuals find and sustain meaningful employment. Our key offerings include:

  • Job support before and after employment to ensure individuals are well-prepared for their roles and receive ongoing assistance.
  • Group-based job preparation sessions, providing practical guidance and shared learning experiences.
  • Support for school leavers to aid in a smooth transition from the classroom to the workforce.
  • Opportunities for further education and training to help NDIS participants enhance their skills and improve job prospects.
